Small Group Ministry

God’s plan has always been to have a people for his own possession (1 Pet 2:9). While God saves individuals His will is for all Christians to live out their lives in community with other believers in the Body of Christ. Bruce Milne has said that “the Christian life is inescapably corporate”. The primary context for this life together is the local church. One of the main ways we seek to cultivate meaningful relationships with each other here at Sovereign Grace Church is through our network of small groups— we call them “Community Groups.”

These groups can vary in size but the average group ranges from 6-10 adults.  The groups help us take our Christian faith beyond the Sunday morning meeting and into everyday life. Community Groups meet in homes twice a month for the purpose of building relationships with other church members (1 John 1:7), encouraging maturity in Christ (Eph 4:15,16), caring for one another (Gal 6:2) and reaching our neighborhoods and beyond with the Gospel (Matt 28:19).

We see active involvement in community with other believers as essential to the process of growing more like our Savior, Jesus Christ. At SGC we've found Community Groups to provide a healthy context for us to journey together as a body of believers. If you want to get connected at Sovereign Grace Church join a community group. Our groups are comprised of both married couples as well single men and women. Please feel free to visit any of our Groups.
