Fruitful Christians join Jesus in the work of the Great Commission that makes and grows disciples.

1. Discipleship is under the lordship of Jesus Christ (v. 18).
2. Discipleship is all around us and is lifelong (v. 19-20a).
“And [Jesus] gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith.”—Ephesians 3:11-12
3. Discipleship is only possible because of the Spirit’s work (v. 20b).
