Since we only get one life to live, we must enjoy every day we get.
1. Rejoice in the goodness of life.
What a joy it is, therefore, to live for many years—not only because we have more time to serve the Lord in sowing and reaping, but also because we have more opportunity to enjoy the goodness of life. —Philip Ryken
2. Rejoice in our youth.
“Young people enjoy many blessings in life. They have fewer cares that come with having adult responsibilities. Their bodies are strong and getting stronger. Their hearts are full of good cheer and easy laughter. The future is full of possibilities. There is freedom to take risks and time to go a new direction in life. Young people still dare to dream that they can make a difference in the world. These are all reasons for the young to rejoice.” —Philip Ryken
“…because we are marching toward God, we can rejoice responsibly. We can pursue with all our hearts attitudes and actions—such as “righteousness, faith, love, and peace (2 Tim. 2:22)—that brings along with them genuine joy. Holiness leads to happiness. Aimless indulgence leads to endless misery. To neglect God is to neglect joy. God has designed us for pleasure, to enjoy all the pleasures that come from being faithful to him and his rules.” —Douglas O’Donnell
3. Remove the bad things in life that rob you of joy.
“It is the bitterness provoked by a hard and disappointing world.” —Derek Kinder
