Life’s Not Fair

Though this life might not be fair, God is fair and just in all his ways; therefore, we must trust him in all things.

1. God will rightly judge all things at the right time.

“If there is a season for everything and ‘a time for every matter under heaven’ (Ecc. 3:1), then there must be a time for justice. Therefore, rather than simply getting angry and sad about all the oppression we see in the world, we can trust God to make things right in the end.” —Philip Ryken

“Whenever we see injustice—especially acts of oppression that we are powerless to prevent—we can still pray for justice, leaving things in God’s hands. This requires faith in God’s promises and also the patience to wait for his timing.” —Philip Ryken

2. We can find joy in an unfair world.
